Dock Composition 
Tommy Docks’ dock post mounting brackets feature the formed “U” shape cradle design that cradles the dock frame thus providing superior load bearing capability. This is unlike competitive products that rely solely on bolts for supporting the dock frame. Only Tommy Docks’ offers a choice of “normal” duty or “heavy” duty dock post mounting system components. Competitive products are available in only one configuration. The normal duty dock post mounting system components are ideal for most installations. The heavy duty dock post mounting system components are generally recommended for installations involving deep water, heavy boat traffic, strong currents, or prevailing windy conditions.  The heavy duty components are shown below.  “B” Straight Bracket – Joins two dock sections together where the dock sections meet in a straight line. “C” Inside Corner Bracket (2 way) – Joins two dock sections together at a right angle. “D” Inside Corner Bracket (3 way) – Joins three dock sections together at a right angle. 
Tommy Docks’ Dock Post – Supports the dock installation and is attached to the dock post mounting bracket and footpad. Available from 4 to 20 feet in length. The Tommy Docks’ dock posts are 15% stronger, 30% lighter, and 50% more corrosion resistant than competitive products.*Dock posts over 8' in length are not available at the on-line store at this time. Standard Footpad – Supports the dock post when the lake bottom consists of firm soil. 
Muck Footpad – Provides additional support for lake bottoms that consist of softer composition than sand or rock. 
Safety Cap – Adds a finishing touch to the dock post.
